Boat Rocker Media has acquired the principal assets of Proper Television and Proper Rights, including Proper’s world-class 35,000 square foot facility.
The company is a leading full service unscripted production and distribution company headquartered in Toronto, Canada.
In it’s 13 year history, Proper has launched hit Canadian versions of international formats including Canada’s Worst Driver, MasterChef Canada, Storage Wars Canada, Canada’s Worst Driver, Come Dine with Me Canada, and Four Weddings Canada, as well as originals like Vegas Rat Rods, True North Calling, Last Car Standing, Secret Lives, Newlywed Nearly Dead, Don’t Drive Here, and Yukon for Sale.
Boat Rocker Media is a global entertainment company that creates, produces and distributes premium content and brands for all platforms. The acquisition adds to Boat Rocker’s existing factual content division which operates under the Crooked Horse Productions banner. In addition, the acquisition bolsters Boat Rocker Media’s global distribution arm, adding around 2,200 half hours of content to it’s catalogue.
