Superior Tofu Ltd. (“Superior”) of Vancouver, B.C., has been acquired by Keystone Natural Holdings, LLC (“KNH”), a portfolio company of Keystone Capital, Inc. (“Keystone”).
Superior is a Vancouver-based manufacturer and supplier of tofu, soy milk and other based products. Founded in 1982, Superior has an established, loyal base of retail and foodservice customers in Canada and the United States.
KNH is a leading manufacturer of healthy, plant-based protein products including tofu, soy milk, meatless veggie burgers and appetizers. Keystone initially acquired Nature Soy, a Philadelphia-based producer of soy and vegetarian food products, in June 2016. KNH expanded its offering of ‘better-for-you’ products through its October 2017 acquisition of VeggieLand, a manufacturer of meatless veggie burgers and appetizers. Superior is a natural fit with Nature Soy and VeggieLand in the KNH portfolio due to its strong tofu-making heritage and commitment to world-class food safety.
